About the Role
The Child Development Service (CDS) is a multidisciplinary team providing specialist developmental assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays.
The occupational therapist will work as part of the CDS occupational therapy team, in profession specific assessment and intervention and as part of the multidisciplinary team. To safely and effectively meet the needs of the people we work with, an Occupational Therapist in this position will need a broad range of skills while working in an outpatient or community setting to assist individuals and families to manage the impact of diagnosis and/or long-term health and disability conditions. Enable accreditation and experience in housing modifications is essential at basic and complex level.
About the Team
The Child Development team are a committed team of Allied health professionals.
The team works within a transdisciplinary model, using a holistic approach to enable children to reach their maximum potential within their families and extended environment.
The team is comprised of the following disciplines: Speech Language Therapists, Visiting Neurodevelopmental Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Social Worker, Clinical Pathway Coordinator and ASD Coordinator. We have a small team of support staff to assist the work undertaken.
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated person with experience in Paediatric Occupation Therapy including assessment, intervention and seating. If you are passionate about housing modification and safety assessments we are particularly keen to hear from you. A person who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to enabling and supporting Children and families to reach their potential and live fulfilling lives.
