Operational Analyst
Adminis – Wellington

We are seeking an Operational Analyst — a brand new addition that blends specialist tax work with analytical and operational expertise.

Two key components of the role (the person):

  1. Tax (client-facing and technical)
  • Manage global sub-custodian tax reporting and documentation, ensuring compliance with global markets and double tax agreements
  • Conduct PIE fund reconciliations (training can be provided)
  • Complete RWT & PIE tax filing for customers on the Adminis platform
  • Acting as a key person working with clients on tax enquiries, including RWT & PIE tax
  • Delivery of annual tax reporting
  1. Analytical & Operational
  • Produce operational compliance reports for managed funds
  • Oversee Key Performance Indicator reporting
  • Contribute to Risk & Compliance committee reports
  • Prepare supervisor, trustee, and operational regulatory reports (custody, DIMs, disclosures)
  • Assist with annual internal controls audits
  • Review operational support requests
  • Provide input to projects requiring operational services expertise
  • Adhere to custodial policies, process documentation, and Service Level Agreements,
  • Working across operational teams supporting operational efficiency

Skills, knowledge, and experience required:

  • Experience with Managed Fund tax obligations, including knowledge of the RWT & FIF regime
  • Ideally a background in investment accounting and administration, with solid accounting principles knowledge
  • Process-oriented with excellent organisational and administrative skills, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to lead projects and manage varied stakeholder relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills – able to investigate and resolve exceptions and escalations
  • Independent, self-directed, and delivery-focused, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new software platforms
  • Excellent communication skills
