About the Role
Join our team as an Operations Coordinator and become a key player in the effective delivery of our oncology services. In this critical role, you'll manage and coordinate essential operational tasks that directly impact patient care. You'll be responsible for preparing and managing all rosters for our local and regional clinics, ensuring we have adequate staffing and a smooth workflow. You'll also track important data, prepare reports, and work closely with leadership to optimize service delivery. This is more than a coordination role; it's an opportunity to contribute to a team that’s making a real difference in people's lives.
You’ll excel at communication, and thrive in process improvement and problem-solving, acting as a vital link between internal and external stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned. A significant part of your role will involve strategic planning, identifying service gaps, and developing practical solutions that enhance our services. By contributing to initiatives that reduce wait times and improve access to care, you will directly support our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equity for all patients.
You will be joining a team of experienced administrators in Te Pūriri o Te Ora, working collaboratively to keep our service operating at its best.

About the Team/Service/Location
As the Operations Coordinator in Te Pūriri o Te Ora – Medical Oncology, you will play a vital role in supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team that provides care to approximately 1.7 million people across the Auckland region. Based at Auckland City Hospital, you will work alongside doctors, nurse specialists, allied health professionals, outpatient schedulers, and administrators. You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced operational team in Te Pūriri o Te Ora, all working together to support our service and ensure the effective delivery of care.

About you

- You have relevant experience (2+ years) from a senior administrative or operational role and are ready to put your skills to work for a purpose you believe in.
- You're proficient with technology, comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite, and eager to master new systems that drive efficiency and communication.
