About the role:
As the OD & Learning Senior Consultant responsible for the Corporate Portfolio, you’ll work closely with senior leaders  at Group GM level and other key stakeholders to shape and deliver OD & Learning interventions and initiatives that align with organisational needs and drive performance.

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development & Learning, you'll join a team of 20 in a business with a total workforce of 3000 + FTE. The OD & Learning team works closely with the People & Culture Business Partnering team, as well as the Talent Development team. Highly collaborative and supportive, the OD & L Senior Consultant will have the opportunity to influence leaders, leadership development programmes, embed DEI practices, and play a crucial role in enhancing an engaged, high-performing culture.
   
Key focus areas:

  • Leadership:  Design and deliver leadership development programmes; support the organisation’s DEI strategy and initiatives. Focus on innovation leadership and be forward-thinking with a continuous improvement and learning mindset.
  • Performance:  Manage and oversee the annual performance development cycle and processes. Coach leaders on how to extract value from these processes and how to make the most of the data and tools available to them.
  • Engagement:  Lead the delivery of Peakon quarterly pulse surveys; drive data-based action planning and outcomes with business leaders.
About you:
  • You bring strong experience in Organisational Development and HR Business Partnering, ideally in large, complex organisations, with an understanding of Learning too and experience of initiating OD interventions at pace in response to business needs.
  • You are confident building relationships and working with senior stakeholders (able to push back respectfully and influence with credibility) and enjoy being a trusted advisor and consultant to senior stakeholders at a Group GM level.
  • You take a commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery (such as, quickly designing and delivering a workshop).
  • You are practical, solutions-focused, able to drive out complexity (simplify), down to earth, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You bring energy and strong facilitation and presentation skills, to confidently hold a room, including senior business leaders who may challenge you.
  • Experienced enabling effective leadership during times of change and bringing those resisting change on the journey.
  • Basic Te Reo or a willingness to learn is highly valued and supported.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Psychology, Human Resources, or Commerce.
