Are you a dedicated Orthoptist with a passion for patient-centred care and professional excellence? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Orthoptist to join our Ophthalmology team at Te Whatu Ora – Counties Manukau, Auckland delivering high-quality orthoptic assessments and management across our diverse community.
What you’ll do:
- Provide expert orthoptic assessments and tailored care for adult and paediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Nurses and Technicians.
- Lead and manage orthoptist-led clinics independently.
- Support clinical education and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the delivery of regional services across Counties Manukau, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and Waitematā sites.
What you bring:
- A recognised Orthoptics qualification (IOA or associate member country).
- Registration with the NZ Orthoptics Society (NZOSI).
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration experience.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
- A commitment to cultural safety, patient rights, and service excellence.
