About the Role
Join our team as a Payroll Data Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our People and Culture department. In this position, you will work side by side with the Lead Data Analyst, managing essential business-as-usual reporting and maintenance while ensuring that our payroll data is accurate, accessible, and actionable. About the Team/Service/ Location
The Payroll Data Analyst position is based in Lower Hutt at Queens Drive, within the People and Culture group, providing payroll services for the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa Districts. We process over 3,000 employees across both districts and this role will play a key role in supporting this function.
About you
We are looking for a results-driven Payroll Data Analyst with a strong customer focus and a collaborative mindset. With a keen eye for improvement, you will demonstrate cultural awareness and hold yourself accountable for delivering high-quality payroll services.
- An understanding of key HR information areas such as payroll, demographics, remuneration and metrics, and workforce planning/profiling would be a plus.
- Demonstrated competency in computer-based reporting skills using a range of packages, including Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience in SSRS would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of SQL reporting.
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to identify key issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret and explain information models.
