About the role:
This role supports our client transitioning from SAP to Workday, specialising in the implementation of a new payroll system.
This position plays a vital part in ensuring accurate management and administration of leave policies and payroll in compliance with New Zealand payroll laws and regulations. The position leverages expertise in leave policies, entitlement calculations, and system administration.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Utilising knowledge of New Zealand payroll laws and regulations to guide the implementation of leave policies within the new payroll system.
- Understanding and applying leave policies and regulations to accurately calculate leave accruals and entitlements for employees.
- Leading the design of leave business rules in the new payroll system using accurate leave data, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
- Leading the configuration of employee self-service functionalities and leave approval workflows.
- Providing support and training to managers and employees on using the new payroll system for leave management purposes.
About you:
- Previous experience in payroll system implementation, particularly Workday
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex leave policies and regulations effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand payroll laws, regulations, and leave policies.
- Proficiency in configuring employee self-service functionalities and leave approval workflows.
- Strong communication and people skills to provide effective support and training to managers and employees.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accuracy in leave data management and compliance.
