About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Systems Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising payroll systems to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with relevant policies and regulations, troubleshoot payroll system issues, and contribute to process improvements.

You will be joining a dedicated team within our payroll department, where collaboration and continuous improvement are highly valued. Based at the Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that values professional growth and development.

About you

We are looking for someone with the following key skills and attributes:

  • Experience in payroll processing and payroll systems administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software systems, AMS Payroll Systems ideally, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
