Based at Spring Hill Corrections Facility (SHCF) in the North Waikato and reporting to the General Manager, this position is critical to the success of our SHCF Senior Leadership Team providing high quality administrative support in a very busy operational environment!
We are looking for an experienced candidate who has a mature approach to work and life, is a good problem solver and can handle whatever comes their way. No day is ever the same. With a keen eye for detail, you will be instrumental in supporting our General Manager and their business unit, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, juggling a multiple of priorities and continuously seeking out ways of streamlining tasks.

Possessing exceptional communication and proven organisational skills, your duties and responsibilities will be varied including:
- Diary Management, email oversight and communication management for the General Manager
- Co-ordination and organisation of meetings and other events on behalf of the General Manager
- Travel and expenses coordination
- Reporting, presentations and management of general correspondence
- Maintaining and updating records, systems and files
- You will be proactive in nature, quick to identify, address and resolve the needs of your customers. You will demonstrate competency in the MS suite of applications, be meticulous in the recording and maintaining of information, delivering a high level of service to our team.

We are interested in hearing from people who have a genuine interest in our kaupapa and are motivated to support others in a team environment. The skills and experience required for the role include:
- Experience in operating as a "Trusted Advisor" to the General Manager, always ensuring confidentiality.
- Strong experience and knowledge of office administration.
- Sound knowledge of computer software and database systems including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and people skills.
- The ability to organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- The ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Resilience when dealing with difficult situations in changing environments and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Alignment with our departmental values that shape the way we conduct our mahi.
Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Resident Permit holder, Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.
Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary for this role is $64,604 - $72,370 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
