About the Role

Physiotherapist- Activity with Arthritis Programme 0.5 FTE 

We are seeking a Proficient Physiotherapist to work delivering the Activity With Arthritis Programme (AWA) – this is a part-time position of 20 hours/week

This position is largely group based in Msk outpatient settings + also works out of Health facilities in rural locations.

The aim is of this position is to provide education, strengthening and tools to reduce or prevent foreseeable deterioration in a person’s condition to improve their quality of life.

In this role you will work closely with the Physiotherapists doing Orthopaedic Triage and the Physio Musculoskeletal Outpatient team. 

The AWA physiotherapist will have the ability to flex to where the caseload demand is, therefore offering variety and learning opportunities.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our musculoskeletal physiotherapy team includes a variety of therapists including Hand Therapists, Pain Physiotherapist

About you

You will need to have: 

·         Current NZ Physiotherapy Annual Practising Certificate

·         Valid work Visa for NZ

·         Ideally at least five years’ experience working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy especially in managing
arthritis

 

·         A passion for teaching self-management skills and delivering group programmes

·         Problem solving approach

·         Excellent cultural knowledge & practice

·         Excellent communication skills to work with other staff and patients

·         Excellent computer skills

·         Desire for ongoing learning

·         Working visa/NZ residence (as appropriate)
