Are you an experienced Physiotherapist with a passion for orthopaedics? Dunedin Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic inpatient Allied Health team, where your expertise will contribute to high-quality patient outcomes and service innovation.

About the role

As a key member of our orthopaedic team, you'll work across acute/trauma and elective surgical specialties in a fast-paced tertiary care environment.

You'll be responsible for:

  • managing and prioritising a diverse inpatient caseload
  • delivering expert physiotherapy assessment and intervention
  • collaborating with a committed inter-professional team
  • providing education and learning opportunities to empower junior staff
  • mentoring students, junior staff, and Allied Health Assistants
  • supporting weekend shifts and participating in the on-call roster.

About you

You are a motivated and enthusiastic team player:

  • with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • with experience in inpatient physiotherapy, ideally with an orthopaedic focus
  • with a proactive approach to learning and service development
  • with skills in task delegation and interprofessional collaboration (desirable)
  • who on identifying opportunities for growth, implementing evidence-based changes, and driving excellence in service delivery.
