About the Role
As a Physiotherapist, you will provide safe and effective assessment / intervention across a broad range of areas or within a specific area. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, Allied Health staff and other services as you assess patients, make referrals, develop comprehensive discharges or transfer plans and apply best physiotherapy practice.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 16 hours per fortnight (0.2 FTE) , one day a week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Murchison Hospital offers a range of services, including inpatient care, aged residential care, and community health services. Physiotherapy plays a key role in supporting patients with recovery and rehabilitation, enabling them to live independently for as long as possible. Our service is well-integrated with the wider Nelson Marlborough health network, ensuring seamless patient care.
Murchison Hospital is equipped with a dedicated space for physiotherapy assessments and treatment, access to rehabilitation equipment and resources suitable for a rural setting, and collaborative support from physiotherapists across the Nelson Marlborough region. About you
As a Physiotherapist, you will:
- Communicate in an articulate and clear manner,
- Build a network of clients and develop key working relationships,
- Influence and think outside the square,
- Apply your flexibility, innovation and enthusiasm,
- Hold a current practising certificate with New Zealand Registration.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
