About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to provide oversight of regional planned care, develop best practice and monitor regional capacity across in-house and outsourced providers aligned with national frameworks and approaches.
The role will:
- Provide information to the Planning, Performance and Production Manager to support timely decision making, identifying expectations that require action, monitoring and co-ordination across districts and teams
- Provide oversight of clinical procurement and third-party outsourcing.
- Support production planning across Northern region districts.
- Ensure the planned care initiatives/work plans are embedded in production plans.
- Monitor and hold district leads to account for delivery against planned care initiatives/work plans and relevant performance targets to ensure optimal delivery
About you
You are an experienced health sector leader with over three years in senior management roles, where you've successfully led project delivery, financial management, and staff leadership within complex healthcare environments. With a strong foundation in analytical and conceptual thinking, you provide high-quality insights and strategic advice to senior executives, enabling data-driven decision-making at the regional level.
Your communication skills are a standout strength, whether crafting in-depth critical analyses and briefing papers or adapting your style to engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels, both internal and external. You are skilled in facilitating diverse groups, resolving conflict, and maintaining credibility while navigating complex organisational dynamics.
Your familiarity with hospital systems, including both acute and planned care flows, underpins your ability to support system-wide improvements. A proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, you are equipped to deliver high-quality outputs across a range of operational and strategic functions.
