About the Role

The Planned Care Services Coordinator role at Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is part of a team supporting patients across all clinical services to receive timely access to planned care (elective) services. 

This is a fixed term full-time position for 12 months and reports to the Planned Care Services Manager. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of the patient management system WebPAS and planned care service processes, including Faster Cancer Treatment timeframes. 

The role provides an opportunity to positively contribute to the delivery of planned care services for the growing Bay of Plenty population.

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.  We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki.  Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4500 staff. 

About you

As a Planned Care Services Coordinator, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of care to patients.  You will have:

  • Proven experience in a large complex environment is desirable
  • Provide high quality data, analysis and reporting
  • Support wider planned care teams to support the Health New Zealand objectives for planned care
  • Be willing to support project work within the organisation
