  • The Principal Advisor - Performance & Implementation supports the DCE - Performance & Implementation by providing strategic, organisational and operational advice. This includes providing assistance with the day-today running of the group as well as special projects aligned with the Government's education priorities and the work of the Performance and Implementation group.
  • The Performance & Implementation Group is tasked with shining a light on performance and is a catalyst for system improvements, providing a central hub for data analysis, insights, methodology development, professional practice and system implementation processes.
  • The function is increasingly and critically important given the pace of change we are facing, our increasing reliance on systems and data and importance of understanding ERO's overall outputs and impacts on the system.
  • We are seeking a Principal Advisor with proven experience in leading complex initiatives/projects, working across an organisation and system and influencing others to deliver.

  • Your experience in leading complex initiatives/projects, working across an organisation and system and influencing others to deliver.
  • You will bring project leadership experience, exceptional writing skills and a collaborative approach to your work. Our leadership team is collectively responsible for the delivery of our work programme, so being able to flex to help your colleagues succeed is a must.
  • We are keen to hear from you if you thrive when working at pace and know how to support your team to deliver high quality work on time.
  • You will be comfortable with ambiguity, driven to succeed, and committed to putting children at the heart of the matter. Experience working in the education and social sector would be useful.
  • You will also have knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori
