Job Description

This award-winning project management firm has an outstanding reputation across the construction sector delivering high profile projects to both the public and private sector clients. They have built a trusted brand delivering to a range of sectors and clients. They have seen significant growth recently even in tougher times and continue to forecast an uptick in client work requirements.

They are now looking for a Procurement Specialist with a strong background in infrastructure projects to join the team. As infrastructure project work continues to show moderate sign of growth, this is an opportunity to contribute your expertise in the infrastructure build procurement converting client needs into contractual arrangements.

Supporting a Senior Associate your key role will be to
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies and project plans to meet client requirements
  • Consult on best form of contract and negotiate contract terms and pricing based on risk of client.
  • Ensure compliance with client procurement policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
  • Ensure cost management and expenditure align with budgets.
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with members of the project team to ensure risk are addressed and best form of commercial arrangement is met,
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 5 – 10 years of experience centred on procurement within project or commercial management on infrastructure projects    
  • Local or central government agency infrastructure procurement experience and an understanding of governance structures would be highly valued.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or related construction qualifications
  • Strong commercial acumen, including knowledge of different procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including outstanding stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong ability to be able to consult and add value to clients where required.
  • A solid understanding of project financials, risk management, and scheduling.

Salary: $130K - $145K
