About the Role

The Product Owner - Clinical Common & Specialised is responsible for the vision, evolution, and delivery of allocated clinical products. Operating at a delivery level, this role plays a key part in ensuring the product continues to meet business needs and delivers value over time. Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, other Product Owners, Product Managers, and Capability Managers, the Product Owner ensures that clinical products are aligned with organisational goals and are continuously improved and reused to support effective healthcare delivery.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Product Owner - Clinical Common & Specialised reports into the Portfolio Group Manager - Clinical Common & Specialised, which sits within the Digital Applications & Products function, part of the wider Digital Services function. Digital Applications & Products is focused on reducing duplication and improving alignment across application and product teams, with a strong emphasis on maintaining stability, security, and reliability. The function delivers standard change and supports minor change alongside the Digital Delivery function, prioritising reliability and consistency across services. Teams are structured around the applications and products they support, enabling standardised processes and nationally consistent outcomes. Organised into service portfolios and domains, this structure ensures delivery is aligned to clinical and operational needs while advancing national standardisation efforts.

About you

As an experienced product owner or digital delivery professional, you bring a strong track record in delivering complex software products and working in agile environments. You have a solid understanding of user experience principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products to market.
  • Experience working in agile environments and using agile methodologies.
