This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week

The remuneration range for this role is $90,763 to $128,136 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience

The opportunity

This role supports the delivery and ongoing effectiveness of Wellington Water's capital programme by strengthening assurance functions such as internal audit, compliance, risk management, and process improvement. The Programme Assurance Advisor will help monitor and improve internal controls and systems, promote risk and assurance best practices, and build capability through knowledge sharing. Strong stakeholder engagement is key.

You will:

  • implement, and maintain quality management principles, procedures and standards
  • support the integrity of the internal audit function
  • coordinate and support the external audit process
  • monitor and analyse contact trends, providing actionable feedback
  • identify, analyse, and evaluate immediate and potential risks.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and or significant experience in risk management, business assurance or quality management systems
  • Minimum four years' experience with asset and quality management systems
  • Experience with internal audit, compliance and risk management processes
  • Working knowledge of business processes and risk inherent in business functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
