Job Description

Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC) is leading one of the biggest urban regeneration projects in Aotearoa, delivering 10,500 new homes alongside thriving communities, upgraded infrastructure, and economic opportunities. TRC is seeking a Programme Management and Risk Lead to strengthen programme discipline, provide risk oversight, and ensure delivery flows seamlessly from planning through to completion.

As the Programme Manager and Risk Lead, you will oversee TRC’s development programme at a strategic level, consolidating project information, monitoring progress, and ensuring operational decisions align with broader programme objectives. You will provide a single source of truth for project status, identify and escalate risks, and drive solutions to keep delivery on track.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Driving the PMO framework, embedding best practice, and ensuring consistent project management discipline across development programmes
  • Consolidating project information, monitoring interdependencies, and modelling scenarios to support prioritisation and decision-making
  • Identify issues such as stalled applications or delays, activate solutions to maintain momentum, and ensure risks are visible in governance forums with their financial and operational impacts quantified.
  • Leading programme monitoring and reporting, simplifying data and insights for governance forums, and providing clarity on risks, issues, and mitigations
  • Advising on prioritisation, corrective actions, and post-project reviews to ensure lessons learned are applied

What you’ll bring

You have strong Programme Management experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within housing, infrastructure, or related sectors. You bring proven experience leading risk and assurance processes at scale and hold recognised project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP. You are analytical, strategic, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and engage effectively across diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Why join TRC?
Join a high performing team and a dynamic organisation, who is truly making a difference in the community. TRC also offers:
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave
  • Health and life insurance
  • Wellbeing benefits
  • Flexible working (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH)
