Work across Transpower and apply your astute planning and communication skills to a broad programme of deliverables!

Our core purpose is to empower the energy future for New Zealand - a future that delivers a net-zero carbon economy and a reliable and secure electricity system.

As the owner and operator of New Zealand's electricity transmission grid, we provide a critical service, including seeking to understand how the grid can deliver the cost-effective level of service expected of customers, while accommodating the growing demand for renewable electricity through electrification of industry and transport.

About the team

Transpower's Grid Development division works to identify grid needs for the next 30 years. We undertake critical activities to inform future investments that ensure the grid is safe, reliable and resilient, and that these investments are integrated with wider system plans.

Our Strategy Performance and Risk group develops our asset management system, including our grid strategies, risk, and resilience information. The team also reports on grid performance, manages asset and system information, and models asset health and criticality.

The Resilience and Adaptation team is responsible for the risk and resilience information and frameworks to support resilience and adaptation into our Asset Management system and provide risk reporting.
