Programmer

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Programmer to join our well-established and forward-thinking client in Palmerston North. In this role, you’ll be turning architectural and structural plans into buildable components using various software, helping bring construction projects to life with accuracy and efficiency.
  
Ideal for someone with a background in quantity surveying, estimating, or architectural design, this role combines technical precision with practical application.
  
What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a programming, estimating, or quantity surveying role.
• Sound understanding of construction processes and NZ building standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through complex plans.
• Excellent communication and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specs.
• Programming and detailing frames and trusses using the client's chosen software.
• Collaborating with production and estimating teams to ensure accuracy.
• Solving structural and design challenges with buildable solutions.
• Providing technical support where needed across the team.
