Join a once-in-a-generation transformation at Fire and Emergency NZ Fire and Emergency New Zealand is on a journey to modernise and future-proof how we deliver payroll and HR services to our people. We're looking for two experienced and highly capable Project Coordinators to join our team and play a critical leadership role in the delivery of our Payroll and HRIS Replacement Programme.
This is a fixed-term role from now until approximately December 2026, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a high-trust public service environment that supports both career and volunteer personnel across Aotearoa.
As one of our Project Coordinators you'll be at the centre of a major programme of work, administrative, logistical, and operational support, ensuring that programme activities are well-organised, resources are effectively managed.
Reporting to the PMO Lead, you'll work closely with programme leadership, project teams, vendors, and external partners to facilitate smooth execution of programme tasks, maintain governance processes, and uphold reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of programme activities, both at a programme wide and workstream level
- Maintain programme documentation, tracking key decisions, actions and risks
- Provide administrative support to programme leadership, including preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Support programme governance through management and coordination of meetings, papers and minutes
- Act as a central point of contact for programme communications, ensuring timely and accurate information flow
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role:
- Proven experience as a Programme Coordinator or in a similar role within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of programme management methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial tracking within programme environments.
- Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office, collaboration tools, and programme management software.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid working environment.
