Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to support an organisation as they establish a brand-new communications team.
This is an exciting contract role, three days a week for nine months, working with an organisation undergoing significant transformation to optimise their communication strategy and delivery.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on managing the end-to-end project: overseeing specialists in recruitment, change management and system implementation.
We’re looking for someone who has successfully project managed the inception of a team before, ideally with a focus on communications or marketing functions. You'll need a solid understanding of how comms teams operate and the ability to ensure the right people, tools, and structures are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage the creation of a new comms team, including recruitment, onboarding, and system implementation
- Drive change management initiatives to support team integration and effectiveness
- Establish project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met
- Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to align project goals
- Ensure the new team is well-positioned to deliver impactful and cohesive communications
- Proven experience in project managing the set-up of new teams, preferably within communications
- Strong understanding of comms teams and how they function within an organisation
- Confident managing change, recruitment processes, and system implementation
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able to work three days a week for the duration of the 9-month contract
