Job Description:  Temporary Painter Location: Christchurch, New Zealand
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
Sector: Residential and Commercial Paint Works
Contract Length: Temporary to Perm 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team temporarily in Christchurch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial paint work and possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired shades.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Cover and protect non-painting surfaces with appropriate materials.
• Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns, after use.
• Ensure high-quality finishes and attention to detail on all projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and commercial painting.
• Proficient in using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Ability to mix and match paint colours accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work on ladders or scaffolding.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
