About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist Coordinator, you will oversee the quality management of a wide range of local and international research projects. Working in a busy, dynamic environment, your focus will be on ensuring the effective and ethical management of multiple Haematology and Oncology clinical trials. This role offers the chance to work with novel therapies and cutting-edge clinical trials, contributing to the health and well-being of patients both locally and across New Zealand.

About the Team/Service/Location

You will be part of Auckland's Regional Cancer and Blood Service, the leading provider of cancer care in the region, serving a population of approximately 1.7 million people. The team is made up of passionate clinical research professionals dedicated to bringing innovative cancer therapies and clinical trials to patients. Auckland City Hospital, the main site, is located in the heart of the city, offering easy access to urban amenities.

About You

As a Quality Assurance Specialist Coordinator, you will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the tertiary health sector
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience coordinating or monitoring clinical trials
  • Proven experience with commercial clinical trials; experience with non-commercial studies is preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
