Remarkable People is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their client's team in Bay of Plenty. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the delivery of complex construction projects within the dynamic construction industry.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and analysing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
- Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
- Monitoring project costs and variations, and providing recommendations to ensure projects remain on budget
- Assisting the project management team with the planning and scheduling of construction activities
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide cost-effective solutions
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong technical skills in cost estimation, contract management, and financial reporting
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying software and tools
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
