About the role
We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our Monitoring team, within the wider Legal, Monitoring and Compliance group. You will join a high-performing team that delivers great outcomes, and is collaborative, flexible, and supportive. You will have great opportunities to work with smart people on interesting, challenging, and meaningful regulatory projects. An excellent opportunity for graduates starting their careers.
Our ideal candidate
As a Quantitative Analyst, you will have analytical and critical thinking skills, the willingness to operate in an environment of continuous improvement and learning, as well as relevant post graduate qualification. You will be able to utilise relationship management skills to work across all parts of the Authority as well as the wider industry, consumers and stakeholders, and the team itself to achieve great outcomes. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate advice, analysis, and written papers applicable to your level of experience.
Are you someone with the following?
- A relevant qualification in engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics, or economics
- The ability to undertake and interpret quantitative analysis, with experience in SQL, R, or Python
- Experience in applying your quantitative skills to answering questions; understanding technical issues and translating these into plain English verbal and written communications
- Ability to think analytically and critically while mitigating analytical and decision-making biases
- Are curious, flexible, and open to integrating ideas, information, and differing perspectives
- The willingness and ability to learn about the industry, and use of different data analysis and programming tools
