Radiology Assistant, Wairau Hospital , Fixed Term Part-time

About the Role

As a Radiology Assistant, you will support the Radiology staff with the smooth running and day-to-day duties within the radiology department including: care and supervision of patients, transferring patients, linen restocking, general administrative tasks and equipment cleaning duties.

The main aspect of this role is ensuring Inpatients are transferred to radiology in a timely manner to ensure a smooth work flow and no downtime in Radiology. This is a busy and active role and requires the pushing of beds and wheelchairs. 

The role is part-time, fixed term for 6 months covering parental leave and you - ll be working 48 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE).

About you

As a Radiology Assistant, you will have:

  • great interpersonal skills,
  • loads of initiative and
  • the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

You will need to be fit and healthy to perform the role and be patient focused. Experience of working in a health care environment is desirable but not essential.  

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
