About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Radiology Booking Administrator to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the efficient scheduling and coordination of radiology appointments across a range of modalities, including General X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional procedures. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, referrers, and the public, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for all. Working closely with the wider Radiology team, you’ll manage waiting lists, support clinical workflow, and help maintain the smooth operation of our busy department.

About the Service 

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we’re growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration and that values the contribution of each team member. Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards as part of Allied Health, and we’re happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as an administrator, receptionist, or in a customer service role, and have:

  • Proven knowledge of medical terminology and experience working closely with clinical teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a diplomatic and respectful approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A commitment to quality and accuracy, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
