About the role

As a Recovery Partner in our Remote Claims Unit at ACC, you'll play a key role in helping clients achieve positive outcomes, including rehabilitation and future planning.

This role involves assessing information to arrange funding for treatment and rehab. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret complex policies. Effective communication, quick learning, time management, adaptability, and resilience are all vital for success.

The location of the Remote Claims Unit is confidential. Applicants will be asked about their preferred work locations or willingness to relocate.

About you

You may possess experience as a case manager or have worked with vulnerable clients and are now seeking your next professional opportunity. Your capacity to collaborate holistically with clients in recovery, their whanau, support networks, and service providers-whether by phone or email-will empower clients to achieve significant progress toward their goals and desired outcomes.

  • The role requires the ability to work effectively as part of a team, operate efficiently in a dynamic environment, demonstrate organisational skills, exercise professional judgement, and possess computer literacy.
  • Experience in understanding complex customer requirements in a multifaceted setting is necessary.
  • The position involves managing sensitive information and situations.
  • It is important to have skills in building rapport and trust, as well as in motivating, negotiating, and influencing outcomes.
  • Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders, including family, providers, suppliers, and community agencies, is needed to support a solution-focused and coordinated approach, and to maintain consistency in service delivery.
  • Previous case management experience is considered advantageous

The indicative starting salary for this role will be $77,502. This is exclusive of ACC's 9% superannuation contribution which would bring the total starting package to $84,477.
