About the Role

The Regional Portfolio Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the planning, prioritisation, and delivery of digital initiatives across the central region. Operating at both strategic and operational levels, this role is responsible for ensuring digital investments are well-governed, effectively aligned to regional needs, and contribute to broader organisational goals. Reporting to the Regional Director, Digital Services, the role works in close partnership with clinical leaders, operational managers, and digital stakeholders to support informed decision-making and drive value through digital delivery. Success in this role requires strong portfolio management expertise and the ability to foster effective collaboration across delivery, PMO, and applications and product teams.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Regional Portfolio Manager is part of the Digital Services Regional Engagement team, which supports the planning and coordination of digital priorities across the regions. The team ensures that digital initiatives are aligned with local service needs and strategic direction, and are delivered in a way that brings meaningful impact. Working across a dynamic and complex environment, the team partners closely with Hospital and Specialist Services leadership, clinical stakeholders, and other departments to support the successful delivery of digital health outcomes.

About you

As an experienced portfolio or project professional, you will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, a solid understanding of risk management, and benefit realisation. With experience in large, complex organisations, ideally in the health sector, you will be confident navigating digital priorities in fast-paced environments. You will also have the following skills and experience to support your success in the role:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior or advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing digital strategies and plans.
  • Experience in managing complex projects or programs, preferably within the health sector.
