About the Role

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Health Clinician to join our team in a role where you can be part of making a difference. In conjunction with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Alcohol and other Drug (AoD) Team, you will be co-ordinating care to meet identified needs of referred children and young people within the context of family, school and peer groups.

About the Service/Location

This role is part of Te Roopu Kimiora, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Service, based in Te Tai Tokerau – Kaikohe, in the Mid North. Our team delivers care to our rural and coastal communities. The Mid-North Mental Health and Addiction Services are committed to the needs of whanau and hapu wellbeing to ensure both cultural and clinical excellence.

About you

Are you a registered nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, psychologist or a DAPAANZ registered health professional?

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a New Zealand professional registration with a current practicing certificate
  • Have a current full driver's licence
  • You will also have experience working in a whanau-centric model and have strong assessment and therapeutic intervention skills
  • Have experience working with Māori in rural communities.
