About the Role
The Bay of Plenty Addiction Service is looking for a registered health professional to join our Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) Team as a case manager. We are a regional service, covering the whole of the Bay of Plenty, and based at Tauranga Hospital. You will be joining a small but experienced and supportive team specialised in the delivery of addictions treatments to our opioid-dependent whaiora.
About you
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in OST and a good understanding of the principles of harm reduction, OST treatment options, and the risks and benefits of this unique treatment approach.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years post-registration experience of working in the wider addictions field, but we will also consider applications from less experienced clinicians if they have the personal qualities we are looking for. An ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this role, as are excellent assessment, risk management and interpersonal / communication skills.
