About the Role
We are inviting passionate and skilled Registered Midwives to join our vibrant maternity team at Ko Matariki Maternity Unit based at Whakatāne Hospital. With a strong emphasis on compassion, high-quality care, this role offers the opportunity to work across the full scope of midwifery practice within a supportive and professionally rewarding environment.
Each day will offer new experiences as you contribute to antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care. You will be empowered to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of māmā and pēpi, backed by a team that values integrity, kindness, and excellence.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Ko Matariki Maternity Unit is grounded in a women-centred care model, supported by a multidisciplinary team of dedicated midwives, nurses, healthcare assistants, obstetric registrars, and SMOs. We are connected, culturally aware service that champions teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
