About the Role
As part of the Allocation nursing team you will work in a variety of clinical settings to cover unplanned leave and support high-acuity. This role would suit an enthusiastic and flexible nurse with at least 3 years of acute nursing experience who enjoys clinical variety and working with different teams. This is a 7-month Parental Leave cover role.
About the Team/Service Location
The Integrated operations Centre (IOC), provides a comprehensive support service which comprises the Duty Nurse Managers, Resource Nurses, Patient Transfer services including Transit Care, and the Bureau. In normal working hours the service will support the directorate to meet their targets and plans and after hours will hold the delegated authority of the Directorates to ensure the best possible use of resources both beds and staff, therefore effective running of the hospital.
About you
You are an excellent communicator and establish rapport effectively with a diverse range of people
- Strong acute nursing background and subsequent skill set - ie IV therapy, management of patient deterioration
- Prior paediatric nursing experience is advantageous
- Calm and professional under pressure. Adaptable within new environments and situations
- A can-do attitude and a passion for providing excellent care
