About the role:
Are you ready to take your clinical skills to the next level in a high-performing, supportive environment?
As a registered Nurse you would be joining our multidisciplinary team delivering a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including coronary angiography, electrophysiology studies, pacing, and structural heart disease interventions. We also provide after-hours on-call cover for emergency procedures, ensuring timely, life-saving care when it’s needed most.

About the Team/Service:
The Waikato hospital Cardiology department is recognised as a leading national tertiary centre delivering high-quality cardiac care to patients across the Midlands region. Our experienced multidisciplinary team performs a comprehensive range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures including coronary, electrophysiology, pacing and structural heart disease intervention. We also provide after hours on-call support for emergency procedures, ensuring responsive, round the clock care.
Our facility includes four labs state of the art cardiac catheterisation labs and a 14-bed dedicated unit that provides pre and post procedure care to our patients from the hours of 0700-1900 hours, Monday to Friday. In addition, our nursing team provides expert support for a variety of non-invasive and non-lab procedures, playing a vital role in patient care.
About you
Requirements for the role:
- Have a current NZ registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Have a minimum of two years post registration experience within a New Zealand hospital/acute care setting;
- Have the ability to work effectively in a fast paced and technical environment;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Have a ‘can do’, solution focused attitude;
- Enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team;
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
