About the Role
We are looking for flexible and committed Registered Nurses to join our Children's Ward on a casual basis (as and when required) – perfect for those who thrive in a team environment and enjoy the diversity and meaning that comes with paediatric nursing.
Our unit is a fulfilling and unique place to work, offering 22-beds and delivering family-centred care for infants, children, and adolescents aged 0-15 years. We provide services in General Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care, Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, and General Surgery, with additional nursing opportunities in our Child Assessment Unit (CAU) and Children's Day Stay Unit.
As a paediatric nurse, you will play a vital role in caring for young patients and supporting their whānau, taking into account each child's emotional, social, and cultural needs. This nursing that combines skill, empathy, and genuine connection.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Based in the stunning Bay of Plenty, our Children's Ward is home to a skilled and supportive team of nurses committed to quality outcomes for tamariki and thier whānau. We work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide care that is holistic, culturally responsive, and grounded in the values of compassion, professionalism, and teamwork.

About you
We seek a compassionate, skilled nurse who connects easily with children and their families. You will bring calm, confidence, and strong clinical judgement to a busy environment, and you are proud to be part of a team that's all in for tamariki.
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- A passion for child and family health.
- Experience in paediatrics for transferable clinical areas.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
- Team-focused, solution-orientated mindset.
- Clean full driver's licence.
