About the Role
You will be working in a high energy rural team based in the Horowhenua locality. You'll have immediate access to other speciality mental health service such as addictions, child, adolescent and maternal mental health service, Kaupapa Māori services and older adult mental health.

Our team of 20 clinicians which includes registered nurses, psychiatrists, psychologist, social worker, nurse practitioner and addiction practitioners and Pou Arataki Peer support specialist.

About you
As a Registered Nurse you will:
- Provide recovery orientated and acute mental health services as an active supportive and collective member of the interdisciplinary team for the Horowhenua mental health and addiction service
- Undertake specialist assessment, treatment and support to whaiora and their families/whanau.
- Develop treatment programmes in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team and our community partners such as primary health, Non Government and other public providers of health and social services.
- Work through crisis situations that may arise either with new or existing whaiora triaging and coordinating care as appropriate.
- Facilitate family engagement, champion hope and recovery and engage the person in connecting with their community and support services.
