About the Role
Are you passionate about delivering specialised nursing care in the community? Join our District Nursing Service at Palmerston North Hospital, where you'll work across a dynamic and supportive team providing care between 0800–2300hrs, seven days a week. This role offers fulfilling and challenging work with great lifestyle options, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while enjoying true work-life balance.
As a Registered Nurse in our team, you'll provide advanced care in areas such as wound management, palliative care, and intravenous therapy. You'll be part of a service committed to innovation, quality improvement, and excellence in community nursing.
About the Team/Service
Our District Nursing team operates from seven sites across the MidCentral Health region. We are enthusiastic, collaborative, and focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. We value continuous learning and support our nurses to grow and thrive in their careers.
About the Location

About you
We're looking for team players who are committed to excellence in nursing care and can demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will need:
- A current New Zealand practising certificate
- A full driver's licence
- Advanced skills and current knowledge in at least one of the following: wound care, palliative care, or intravenous therapy
- A commitment to quality improvement and service excellence
- The ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends
