About the Role

Take on an exciting opportunity as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department where you will provide high-quality care to adults and children in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.  This is a fixed-term part-time role (working 36 hours per week) until 20 December 2025. This role offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team that delivers critical care to patients in their time of need.

As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team, including Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and experienced Registered Nurses.  With support from Health Care Assistants, Clerical Staff, and the medical team, you will play a key role in providing compassionate, evidence-based care.  A comprehensive orientation program and ongoing training opportunities will ensure your success in this rewarding role.

About you

The ideal candidate is a skilled and adaptable professional with a collaborative approach to care delivery. Previous acute care experience is beneficial, but we also welcome those eager to grow their skills in this area.

What you will bring:

  • Emergency Department and/or acute care nursing.
  • If you have minimal or no experience in the field of Emergency Department but have transferable skills along with a connection to the Eastern Bay of Plenty, we are eager to provide training and foster the development of our team members.
  • A current NZ nursing registration, current practicing certificate or working towards through a Competency Assessment Programme.
  • A ‘can do' attitude.
  • A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing.
