About the role
- To assist the Faster Cancer Treatment (FCT) project manager (FCT PM) and FCT team in the delivery of projects that focus on improving the efficiency of cancer patient pathways, access to diagnosis and treatment, referrals, and FCT target performance
- Manage the FCT tracker, monitoring patient progress to cancer treatment, signalling delays to the FCT project manager and completing electronic records in time for Ministry of Health reporting
- Responsible for the ongoing identification of areas for improvement and the streamlining to improve care for our patients
- Partner with the cancer nurse coordinators, multidisciplinary (MDM) coordinators, clinical teams, stakeholders, and project leads to guide and deliver the required outcomes
- The work spans primary and secondary services and both Otago and Southland sites

About you
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- Demonstrated knowledge of formal processes for managing projects; project management qualification - Prince2 Foundation or similar
- Relevant previous experience of quality and audit and/or project management

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN pay scale, between $81,683 and $106,739 p.a pro-rata dependant on relevant experience.
