Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse wanting to work in one of New Zealand’s newest and most advanced Adult Acute Inpatient Units? A place where you’ll go home at the end of your shift knowing you played a very important part in the recovery of service users and feel the satisfaction of doing something that really counts?
About us
He Puna Waiora meaning "a pool of wellness" is a 46 bed Adult Acute Inpatient Unit designed to provide a high level of flexibility in the use of acute beds. There are a number of sensory & comfort rooms with multiple lounges, relaxation and programme spaces for service users.
We have an exciting and rewarding role in this facility where you will enjoy practising Nursing with a holistic approach, relish new innovative ways of treating and caring for service users and working proactively to reduce the need for seclusion and restraint.
We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, who:
- Is proactive by constantly striving for a positive outcome for service users
- Naturally looks outside the square when it comes to service users
- Who is enthusiastic, flexible, driven and are ready to make a difference
- Has experience in mental health with a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Is prepared to cover Waiatarau inpatient unit when required
