About the Role

Whakatāne Hospital is currently recruiting exceptional Registered Nurses to join our skilled and compassionate team in the Medical Ward.  We currently have two 6-month fixed term positions available, working up to 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week).  Please indicate in your cover letter how many hours you would like to be considered for.

About you

This role is suitable for a confident nurse with strong clinical judgement, a team-focused mindset, and a genuine commitment to holistic, culturally safe care.  You are an individual who listens, collaborates, and brings calm to complexity.

What you will bring: 

  • Current NZ Nursing Registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • At least two years of nursing or clinical experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
