Registered Nurse – Module 8 & 9 Breast Service Outpatient Clinics

  • Manukau Health Park, Fixed Term Part Time Role (0.5 FTE) until Jan 16 2026
  • Rostered Shifts
  • Monday – Friday (Flexibility to work between 8am and 6pm is essential)

The Role:

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery Outpatient Breast Service, for a 0.5 FTE fixed term contract running until 16 January 2026.

Consultations, breast imaging and diagnostic tests are co-ordinated within our clinic providing the gold standard in diagnosis and treatment for our Breast patients. Many patients will have a diagnosis of Breast Cancer and the nursing care you provide will be rewarding with the work you do really making a difference. The successful applicant will be committed to providing patients with the highest standard of care, have a sound work ethic and the ability to work autonomously.

Proven experience within a surgical specialty and either previous experience or a special interest in Breast and Breast cancer nursing will be favourable. You will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and a can do attitude to problem solving. 

Skills in post op wound care and assisting with clinical procedures is advantageous. Excellent clinical and communication skills as well as attention to detail are essential. The position is a mix of clinical interaction with patients as well as an administration component that supports the Clinical Nurse Specialist Team and Consultants.

The important work that you will do is for the people at the core of our health system i.e. our patients and their whaanau. You will be working alongside general surgeons, trainee doctors and nurses, nurse specialists and our own highly experienced team of nurses and patient care assistants.

About You:

  • NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum 5+ years clinical experience in a surgical environment in NZ
  • A special interest in Breast/Breast Cancer Nursing
