About the Role

Are you an experience Registered Nurse with a passion for Neonatal care?  Join our Neonatal Unit based at Tauranga hospital.  Please include your cover letter how many hours you would like to be considered for. Our Level 2 Neonatal Unit provides high dependency care for babies requiring treatments such as CPAP, High Flow, TPN, and stabilisation before transfer to NICU.  This role involves working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to babies and their whānau, ensuring the best possible outcomes during a critical time in their lives.

The Neonatal Unit is a supportive and collaborative environment, staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, doctors, health care assistants, and allied health professionals who are passionate about delivering high-qualtiy neonatal care.  Located in the sunny Bay of Plenty, this role offers the perfect blend of professional fulfilment and an enviable lifestyle in one of New Zealand's most beautiful regions.

About you

  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with Neonatal care (preferred).
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering compassionate, family-focused care.
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
