About the Role 

We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and committed registered nurses to join the National Youth Secure Forensic Inpatient team at Keneperu Hospital. We offer an MDT approach to specialised assessment and treatment for youth offenders with mental health problems within a bi-cultural model of care. We work within a framework of clinical governance and are a progressive service committed to providing a culture of ongoing professional development for staff through regular supervision, an excellent professional development and recognition programme (PDRP), regular in-service training and support towards external education. You will be required to provide 24 hour assessment and care to our rangatahi (young people) in conjunction with the MDT. You will also be responsible for the oversight of the unregulated workforce. The Salary range for this role is $75,773 - $106,739 depending on experience.

About you 

  • Previous youth and/or forensic experience preferred.
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse is essential.
  • Applicants must hold a current Practising Certificate.
