About the role

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a talented Registered Nurse working for the North Community Mental Health Team. You will need experience working with patients with serious mental illness in a community or inpatient setting. Within this position you will work within an MDT as a key worker, assessing, maintaining and managing clinical risk, working alongside the client and their whanau focusing on optimum care and resilience.

North Community Mental Health Team provide assessment, support and treatment for people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness. The geographic area serviced by the Team includes Mosgiel, Middlemarch, Palmerston and Dunedin city from the Octagon northwards.

To be successful in this role you will have relevant community and / or recent acute inpatient experience and the ability to meet the demands of a busy workload to a high standard.

To be eligible to apply you must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and have a current and valid APC, a scope that allows you practice in mental health and a clean driver licence.

There is a degree of autonomously with this role so you will need a strong sense of 'self', a positive 'can do' attitude and a commitment to working cohesively and collaboratively in a large dynamic multidisciplinary team.
