About the Role

You will be providing excellent service to our Ophthalmology patients by administering intravitreal injections, working in ophthalmology clinic and assessing and preparing patients for ophthalmic procedures.

This is a permanent position, working 64 hours a fortnight, rostered Monday to Friday between the hours of 0800 - 1800, supporting our multi-disciplinary ophthalmology team made up of Registered Nurses, Specialist Clinical Nurses, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Optometrist, Orthoptist, Ophthalmology technician, Registrars and Senior Medical Officers.

About You

You will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Recent Ophthalmology clinic or theatre experience preferred
  • Experience or credential to administer Intravitreal injections
  • A commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team
  • Versatility and flexibility
  • Current Registered Nurse registration and NZNC practising certificate
  • Post graduate qualifications or working towards.

This position would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great assessment and time management skills, is confident in their practice, can work autonomously and can relate well to a wide variety of stakeholders including patients, families and our multidisciplinary teams.
