  • 0.5FTE (20 hours a week) Fixed Term till March 2026
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift, from 8am or 9am

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join us in Christchurch Outpatient Department.

Every day in Christchurch Outpatients is different with the Nursing team managing wound care, assisting in diagnostic procedures such as flexible cystoscopy, supporting minor surgery and procedures, as well as running nurse led clinics such as Phototherapy.

We are a team of experienced clinical and support staff who work together and pride themselves on delivering a high standard of care for our patients.

About the Service

Christchurch Outpatients works across four floors of our purpose-built facility. We provide nursing support and care for up to thirty different Specialities.

About you 

  • 3+ years nursing experience
  • Recent General Surgery or General Medicine
  • Wound care, procedural assistance, cannulation and venepuncture experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
