 About the role 

The successful applicant(s) will work across all locations within MidCentral, including the satellite unit in Horowhenua Health Centre when assessed as competent.  

1.7 FTE is available therefore actual hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant(s), working shifts will be rostered Monday to Saturday between 7am and 11pm. 

The unit provides a 24 hour on call service and all staff will be included once assessed as competent.

About you 

  • At least two years medical /surgical experience as a New Zealand registered nurse or Nursing Council equivalent registered nurse in an acute secondary facility 

OR 

  • At least two years post registration experience with at least one year in Haemodialysis in an equivalent secondary care facility outside of New Zealand AND completion of the CAP training

 AND 

  • have a knowledge of the process of kidney disease and treatment options and an understanding of the implications of caring for patients with chronic illnesses

You will have achieved or be working towards PDRP Level 3 or 4. 

Previous experience will be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the suitable applicant.
